I wrote to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and suggested we should have a special day set aside for celebrating the cataclysmic power of nuclear energy. They said, “no.”
But I decided to do it anyway. Therefore I have decreed January 15th of every year to officially be known as Nuclear Fun Day! Everyone is encouraged to gather round the cooling towers of their freindly neighborhood nuclear plant to bask in the warm glow of energy.
Lots of fun is planned, including rides, face painting, cupcakes, a dunk tank, and bounce houses shaped like nuclear reactors. Plus the first 1500 people through the gate will receive a Geiger counter.
